What Exactly Does an Event Designer Do?
Unlike traditional planners who act as a 'manager' for your big day, reviewing contracts, scouting locations and providing a timeline for the day's events, event designers create the overall look and feel for the event. Our focus is to design a unique vision tailored to your individual tastes in order to create the ultimate reflection of who you are as a couple. We focus solely on the aesthetics, design and mood of your big day.
At Inspired Goodness, we begin by conceiving a memorable save the date — to help set the tone from the very beginning. We know that small details and creative solutions can turn your wedding into a memorable experience that your guests will talk of for years to come. Whether its creating a custom lighting scheme or personalizing an end of the night snack, Inspired Goodness aims to make each wedding a custom creation and our services include a gamut of resources — only limited by our imaginations.
Why Should I Hire an Event Designer?
Planning a wedding can be an exciting time in one's life but as you get further along in the process, the countless details, multiple vendors and myriads of opinions and options, one can see how most people can become easily stressed out and overwhelmed.
Our job is to source, shop and spend time creating a wedding that is the ultimate reflection of you as a couple. We provide just the right amount of support, to ensure your wedding is both a success and a wonderful experience.
How Far Before My Wedding Should I Get in Touch?
Six to Nine months is advance is our preferred timeline. During this stage of planning, you should have already secured the wedding date, venue and most of your major vendors. This allows our team to develop an overall vision and timeline, ensuring to compliment your choices.
If you are planning a destination wedding (outside the New York City area), please call us as soon as your venue has been booked to ensure we can accommodate your event.
What Sets Inspired Goodness Apart?
Inspired Goodness was created by Kimberly Canale, a bride who decided that just because her wedding day was over, her creativity and love for all things beautiful wasn't going to disappear.
Channeling over 8 years of experience working as a graphic designer in publishing, events and marketing, Kimberly launched Inspired Goodness to help other couples achieve the wedding of their dreams. The luckiest girl in the world; she gets to continue to do what she loves each and everyday.
What is the Average Cost of an Event?
Since every wedding is unique in nature, filled many possible options, details and issues to consider, there are countless factors that go into quoting each event.
To streamline the process, we encourage all couples to set up a free consultation; allowing us to provide a comprehensive proposal tailored to your specific needs.
What Should I Bring to the Consultation?
We want to create a spectacular and memorable event for you and from experience the more information you can provide us with, the better we will be prepared to offer creative suggestions. Anything that speaks to you or inspires you (think fabric swatches, colors, sketches, designs, photos, tears from magazines.)
I'm Planning a Destination Wedding. Can you Help?
If you are planning an out-of-town event, we recommend getting in touch as soon as your wedding date and venue are confirmed. We have a team of designers that will travel to your chosen destination and ensure that your event is seamlessly crafted - no matter the location.
I Live Out of Town but am Having a Local Wedding. Is this a Problem?
We can arrange several phone consultations and have you send us any materials we usually discuss with brides in person. For out of town clients, we require at least two in-person meetings to ensure we are accurately meeting your needs.
Where is Inspired Goodness based?
Our business is based in Park Slope, Brooklyn and we primarily serve brides in the Greater New York City area.
